If you’re looking to get into Canoeing or Kayaking or have just started out and looking to learn some new skills and develop existing ones then you’ve come to the right place.
This four day course will take you on an adventure around the best that North Wales has to offer.
You choose the craft you want to use: maybe canoe, maybe kayak, maybe a mixture of both.
We’ll use a variety of locations which will be chosen according to your individual wants
& needs as well as the weather and water conditions. These may include:
> The Llangollen Canal including the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – A UNESCO World Heritage Site
> The River Dee – a world class river with a rich history of whitewater paddling
> Llyn Tegid (Bala) The Largest Natural Lake in Wales
> The Mawddach Estuary – Wales’ Prettiest Coastal Paddle in The Shadow of Cadair Idris
> The River Conwy/Conwy Harbour – a River, an Estuary, a Castle then Fish & Chips to finish!
> River Severn – technically only just in Wales but a stunning tour of the countryside nonetheless.

Fantastic Canoeing - We hired 3 canoes for 3 hours and did a self guided canoe over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and surrounding canals.

I would recommend TNR outdoors and we would definitely use them again.
Wonderful family experience! - Such a lovely experience for the whole family! Friendly staff and after a quick safety and instructions briefing we were off!
Some things to consider (and what we’d... read more take account of next time we do this!). Crossing the aqueduct can take a while as you give way to any traffic coming the other way. We had a 20 minute wait or so before we could paddle across. I understand the wait can be much longer sometimes. Made no odds to me but the kids were restless so handy to forewarn any younger ones! My other tip is to put things in waterproof bags. My back pack is water resistant but it got lots of water dripped on it from the paddles and it and the contents were pretty soggy afterwards!
Lovely mornings activity nevertheless even in the short rain shower. We’d definitely do it again 👍🏻
